WASHINGTON, D.C. February 29, 2008
— Washington's Federal News Radio WFED (1050 AM) has been selected as the official radio station of the Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO), government's primary forum for senior federal executives and program managers. IRMCO 2008 will take place on Sunday — Wednesday, April 13-16, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Cambridge, Maryland.

Federal News Radio will provide editorial coverage of IRMCO before, during and after the conference. GSA's IRMCO executive steering committee members and keynotes will be featured on Federal News Radio AM 1050 and also in archived format on FederalNewsRadio.com following the show. Veteran Federal journalist Tom Temin will be providing coverage from the conference itself.

Federal News Radio Program Director Lisa Wolfe remarked, "It is an obvious move for us to be as involved as possible in IRMCO. Our radio station serves this audience every day and we are the best equipped to bring the news that is made at IRMCO instantly to the federal community at-large. Three-quarters of our audience comes from the middle and upper management levels of government, a direct parallel to the IRMCO attendee profile."

Federal News Radio AM 1050 WFED is a primary source for news and information about the business of the federal government for federal managers and contractors. Both on-air and online, WFED disseminates this complicated world of the federal government and provides the most relevant and topical news — in plain language — in a timely and accessible manner. Along with Talk Radio 3WT and WTOP Radio, Federal News Radio AM 1050 is one of the D.C. radio properties of Bonneville International.
