Subject: Nomination Request for IRMCO Awards
GSA is requesting your nominations for the Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO) Award. The IRMCO Award is a prestigious award presented each year to a single individual and team. The IRMCO awards have monetary recognition of $2,000 (individual) and $5,000 (team). These awards are given to those who have demonstrated exceptional ability to operate across organizational boundaries to improve the Government’s services to its citizens.
These awards will be presented at the 49th Annual IRMCO, on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, in Cambridge, MD.
Sponsored by the General Services Administration, IRMCO is attended by executives and managers from across the Federal Government. IRMCO creates an environment where attendees interact to address the important management topics and issues facing these communities and the Government today. This year’s IRMCO theme is, “Leading Reform for Mission Performance”
Due to the snowstorm the IRMCO Awards submission deadline has been extended to March 10. A nomination template is provided with specific questions to guide you with your nomination submission at www.irmco.gov. Submission will only be accepted electronically through the site. Click here to begin the nomination process. If your program/project is selected, your direct supervisor will be required to confirm your agency's approval of the nomination in support of the IRMCO award program. Award applications selected as finalists will be posted on the IRMCO.gov website. By applying for this award you are granting GSA the right to post application contents.
The submission should specifically address each of the following award selection criteria:
(1) Demonstrated innovative leadership in executing change in Government;
(2) Demonstrated ability to identify and overcome barriers; and
(3) Demonstrated results and outcomes.
Please note the IRMCO award nominators and recipients must be Federal Government civilian employees only.
