2009 IRMCO AWARDS NOMINATIONS SOUGHT

General Services Administration is pleased to solicit your nominations for the Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO) Award. The IRMCO Award is a prestigious award presented each year to a single individual and team. The IRMCO awards have monetary recognition of $2,000 (individual) and $5,000 (team). These awards are given to those who have demonstrated exceptional ability to operate across organizational boundaries to improve the Government's services to its citizens.

These awards will be presented at the 48th IRMCO, on Monday, April 20, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, in Cambridge , MD.

Sponsored by the General Services Administration, IRMCO is attended by executives and managers from across the Federal Government. IRMCO creates an environment where executives and managers interact to address the important business and information technology topics and issues facing these communities and the Government today.

Please, submissions will only be accepted electronically through the IRMCO website at www.IRMCO.gov. Click here to begin the nomination process. There are three parts to the application:

PART I

  • Identify the nominee
  • Identify the nominator
  • Provide a short synopsis

PART II

  • Provide nominee contact information

PART III

  • Provide information about the program/projects in the following categories:
  • Demonstrated leadership in operating across organizational boundaries:
  • Willingness and ability to treat obstacles as challenges and not barriers:
  • Measurable improvements in performance linked to mission objectives/results:
  • In addition, the clarity and thoroughness of the application will be taken into consideration.

If your program/project is selected, your direct supervisor will be required to confirm your agencies approval of the nomination in support of the IRMCO award program. All IRMCO award nominations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on February 28, 2009.

Please note the IRMCO award is for Government employees only. It is the responsibility of the applicant to determine the appropriate authorizing official level that meets the applicant's department/agency approval standards. Award applications selected as finalists will be posted on the IRMCO website. By applying for this award you are granting GSA the right to post application contents.
